Stoneman Bookkeeping is operated by Stoneman Enterprises LLC, an Ohio limited liability company. This page explains what information I collect, how I use it, and how I protect it.
The short version: I collect only what I need to do your bookkeeping or to answer your enquiry. I don't sell anything to anybody, I don't run advertising trackers on this site, and your financial records are never shared without your say-so unless the law requires it.
This website has no contact form, no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, and no cookies. Simply reading these pages does not identify you.
If you phone or email me, I receive whatever you choose to tell me — typically your name, contact details, and a description of your situation. I keep that so I can reply and follow up.

Your records are not sold, rented, or traded. They are shared only:
If I ever engage a subcontractor to assist with your account, they are bound by confidentiality obligations equivalent to mine, and I remain responsible for their work.
I use strong, unique passwords and multi-factor authentication wherever the service offers it. Client files are kept on access-controlled storage. Documents containing bank account or routing numbers — such as a signed ACH authorization — are stored separately and are not sent by unprotected email.
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and I won't claim otherwise. If a breach affecting your information ever occurred, I would tell you promptly.
Records of work performed are retained for three years after our engagement ends, after which they may be destroyed. Your own underlying financial records and your QuickBooks subscription remain yours throughout and are not withheld.
You may ask me at any time to tell you what information I hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, or to delete information I am not required to keep. Write to the address below and I'll respond promptly.
These services are for businesses. This site is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will be communicated directly.
